2 of 4 in my series "Don't Look, Don't See" in my senior art show, "e(m)body," held with two other EMU students.

The theme of this series is ignoring problems. If you haven't noticed the paintings are portraits of people avoiding the viewer. I asked each model what problems or things either they or others ignored but should not. I then represented their responses in the layers of plastic underneath the painting.
This painting was put in front of a light box that could be turned off and on. When on you could see more detail in the layers such as "Gap" underneath the portrait from a Gap bag.
